FAST AND ABSTINENCE
The holy season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Both Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of abstinence from meat for all who are fourteen (14) years and older. They are also days of fast one full meal and two small meals, with nothing eaten between the meals) for adults from twenty-one (21) to fifty-nine (59) years of age. All Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat for those fourteen (14) years and older.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
The most popular devotion during Lent is the Stations of the Cross. Join us Friday evenings at 7 pm, starting on Friday, February 16th in the Chapel.
OPERATION RICE BOWL
Our parish’s participation in Operation Rice Bowl gives you and your family the opportunity to learn about the most vulnerable members of our human family. The people helped by Catholic Relief Services and your Operation Rice Bowl contributions are our brothers and sisters. After you fill your rice bowl, please place it in the offering basket or drop it off at the Rectory Office.
